The Porto Card + Transportation was discontinued in March, which means these two cards now do completely different things — no overlap, no confusion. What Changed in 2026: The Porto Card + Transportation Is Gone

In March 2026, the Porto Card + Transportation was discontinued. The combined card — which included both sightseeing discounts AND unlimited public transport — is no longer available for purchase. The only version of the Porto Card available now is the Porto Card Walker, which covers sightseeing and discounts only.

This means the two cards no longer overlap at all. They used to compete with each other — now they complement each other.

The New Recommended Combo

Here’s the thing nobody tells you: Porto Card Walker + Andante Tour Card = everything the old combined card used to offer. If you want the full Porto experience — sightseeing discounts AND unlimited transport — you simply buy both.

Which Card Should You Get?

The good news — this decision is much simpler in 2026 than it used to be. Here’s the quick version:

Get the Andante Tour Card if:

• You need a Porto transport pass — full stop, the Andante Tour Card is what you want
• You’re arriving by plane — the airport is in Zone 4 and the Andante Tour covers all zones
• You’re doing day trips to Matosinhos, Gaia, or anywhere outside walking distance of the city center
• Note: The Andante Tour Card doesn’t cover the historical trams or Funicular dos Guindais – those require separate tickets purchased on the spot
• Traveling with kids under 4? Good news – they ride Porto’s public transport completely free, no Andante Card needed.

Get the Porto Card Walker if:

• You’re planning to visit 3+ paid attractions during your trip
• You want discounts on port wine tastings, river cruises, and restaurants
• You want free entry to Porto’s municipal museums without paying per visit

Get both if:

• You want the full Porto experience — sightseeing AND transport covered
• You’re staying 2-3 days and plan to explore beyond the city center
